🧑🏽💻 About Me
I'm Prashant Kumar, PhD scholar(PMRF) at IIT Kanpur in the Department of Aerospace Engineering. I'm working with Dr. Rajesh Ranjan (ACAL) in the area of Scientific Machine Learning, including Physics-informed Neural Networks for incompressible and compressible turbomachinery flows.
Traditional methods struggle with complex, low Reynolds Number flows in turbine blades, which impedes design optimization. PINN addresses this challenge by integrating machine learning with physics comprehension. Unlike deep learning models, PINN requires less data and incorporates flow physics. Extending PINN to compressible flows, predicting blade performance, and optimizing designs to reduce separation and wake losses are key aspects of my research, including predicting turbine blade performance in transitional flow conditions.
